But it wasn’t always like this for me….I started my home care business with this vision that I could take really good care of people…feel good about what I was doing….I’d have a great team….
....And that the business would run without me spitting out lots of cash…and I could start up other ventures that served humanity.
Yet, no matter what I did……I was struggling with finding consistent clients and continuing to grow my business. Dealing with my caregivers and "on call" was a nightmare…to a point where I thought about selling the business.
My internal team was constantly coming to me for advice….and I’d keep getting sucked in to the day to day of the business….never ever feeling like i was getting ahead (because i wasn't)
I was working long hours….and I’d get home at the end of the day exhausted…
Not enough energy to devote to my kids….
My stomach would literally turn every time I heard the phone ring wondering…”what fired do i need to put out now”...
Taking time off was like pulling teeth because I was always worried the business would just crumble without me there. My nervous system was shot….
I implemented things I’d learned from my franchise…or other trainings that I did…
Some helped…but I still had this never ending cycle of the business consuming me….
I started to think that maybe I just wasn’t cut out to be a business owner…
....or maybe there was something wrong with me…
....maybe it’s because I struggled with Attention Deficit Disorder...
...or because I wasn’t good with details...
....or I wasn’t smart enough…or disciplined enough….
It felt so liberating…
